Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could miss the upcoming Glasgow derby clash with Celtic if he is given retrospective ban after his clash with Kilmarnock defender Kirk Broadfoot at half-time of his side’s 1-1 draw at Ibrox on Saturday.

As the two teams headed for the tunnel, Broadfoot seemed to catch Morelos on the heel, and the Colombian hit back, lashing out at the Kille defender.

Referee Greg Aitken didn’t take action against either player, despite protests from the Kilmarnock players, but the SFA could take retrospective action against the 22-year-old.

Celtic host Rangers at Celtic Park on March 31st and if he’s found guilty of violent conduct, Morelos – Rangers’ most dangerous goalscorer – could be unavailable for the game, which would be a huge boost for Neil Lennon’s side as they look for another three points in their march towards the title.

Rangers beat Celtic 1-0 back in December so the champions will be looking for revenge after the international break.
