Celtic managerial target Marco Rose has suggested that he could leave Red Bull Salzburg in the near future.

As reported by the Daily Record, Rose is one of the few names, aside from Neil Lennon, to be seriously linked with the Celtic job.

A highly-rated young German coach, Rose is said to be among the favourites to land the Hoops job if the club choose not to hire Lennon for a second time.

Speaking about his future, Rose told Sky Sports Austria:

I think it’s not so often in your career, that you have a lot of requests and then you have a lot of options. I know what I owe the club, and yet at some point it’s about my personal situation, about goals, about new challenges, and about making a decision.

Celtic will know all about Rose having played against his Salzburg team earlier this season.

Salzburg beat Celtic on both occasions in the Europa League and were dominant in each match.

With the lure of 10-in-a-row on the horizon for the Hoops, the club now must decide whether or not they stick with a familiar face in Lennon as they look to make history, or bring in someone fresh to push the club on both domestically and in Europe.
