Celtic legend John Hartson believes Tom Rogic will be fit for Sunday’s Glasgow derby with Rangers, the former striker revealed in his column for the Evening Times.
Though the club are yet to confirm the news, Hartson claimed the midfielder is fit following his spell on the sidelines with a knee injury he sustained playing for Australia in the Asia Cup.
Rogic missed the last Glasgow derby with rivals Rangers in December due to his involvement in the tournament, but former Hoops striker Hartson believes Lennon may risk playing the midfielder this weekend following his alleged return to fitness.
Tom Rogic has been missed and is now fit. There is nobody else quite like him, the way he can turn an opponent, his dribbling and shooting ability. The Australian loves playing against Rangers.
He’s had no game time for almost two months, but I wonder if Lennon will ask him to go out there for an hour and try to run the Rangers defence ragged as he has done so many times before.
The 26-year-old is yet to feature for Celtic in 2019 following his injury in the Asia Cup, but the Australian has a good record against Rangers in recent games, as we’ve identified below.
