James Forrest revealed his delight with Celtic’s comfortable 3-0 win over nine-man Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi final on Sunday.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring for the Hoops with an excellent strike from range at the end of the first half, with Odsonne Edouard and Tom Rogic adding Celtic’s second and third goals respectively.
And speaking to BBC Sport following the game, Forrest revealed he was overjoyed with his goal and the win at Hampden Park.
Obviously delighted to contribute and I was buzzing with the goal, but the most important thing is to get to the final.
I think it was really important, the timing of the goal. After we scored, we really kicked on and we played really well.
Celtic will face Hearts in the Scottish Cup final as they go in search of their third successive domestic treble, six days after they end their league campaign against the same opposition.
