Celtic have taken a huge step towards a third consecutive domestic treble by beating nine-man Aberdeen 3-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park on Sunday.
James Forrest’s wonderful strike from range opened the scoring for the Hoops in first half stoppage time, following Dominic Ball’s sending off 10 minutes prior.
Odsonne Edouard added a second on hour the hour mark from the penalty spot, before Lewis Ferguson became the second Aberdeen player to receive a red card following his two-footed lunge on Tom Rogic.
The Australian then netted Celtic’s third from the resulting free-kick, as Neil Lennon’s side took full control at Hampden.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes and his assistant Tony Docherty were also both sent to the stands in what was a miserable day for the Dons.
