Scott Brown’s SFA disciplinary hearing has been moved forward by six days, BBC Sport have confirmed.
Celtic’s captain could have possible two-match suspension on his hands, after supposedly “not acting in the best interests of football.”
Brown was widely criticised for causing trouble at the final whistle in the Hoops’ 2-1 win over Rangers last month, after antagonising the away supporters and players in equal measure, in a typically encounter.
James Forrest’s late goal had earned Neil Lennon’s side a precious victory, while Brown had earlier played a key role in getting Alfredo Morelos sent-off.
The date of the hearing is now April 26th, meaning the two-game ban would see him miss the games against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen, instead of against the Dons and Rangers.
Both Celtic and their bitter rivals face separate charges after the ill-tempered affair at Parkhead, with that decision still set for the original date of May 2nd.
