Inter deliver touching tribute to Billy McNeill
There was some sad news for Celtic fans over the Easter weekend as former captain and manager Billy McNeill passed away at the age of 79.
The Glaswegian rose through the ranks in a Hoops shirt to become captain, and then had two stints in the dugout as manager.
His most famous moment in the green and white jersey came in the 1967 European Cup final, when McNeill captained his side to victory in a tense game in Lisbon.

Internazionale were the opposition on that hot afternoon in Portugal, and the Italian outfit have delivered a touching tribute to the departed McNeill.
A tweet from the club’s account labelled McNeill ‘a great opponent and captain’, and stated that their thoughts were with the Bellshill-native’s family.
