Celtic are plotting a move to sign Atalanta right-back Timothy Castagne this summer.
According to The Times, via HITC, Celtic are ready to make an approach to sign the defender as they look to strengthen their squad at the end of the season.
The report claims that Celtic were keen to sign him in January, but saw an offer in the region of £8.8m rejected by the Italian side.
Mikael Lustig and Christian Gamboa are both out of contract and Jeremy Toljan is poised to return to Borussia Dortmund, leaving Celtic with the need to sign at least one new right-back in the upcoming transfer window.
Castagne has three goals and five assists from defence for Atalanta in the Serie A this season and has shown that is capable of playing at left-back, which is another useful quality.
The Times claim that Atalanta could be prepared to cash in on him this summer and are willing to listen to offers of around £10m.
