Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has batted away any talk of him leaving the club anytime soon.
Speaking during a press conference, Sinclair addressed claims that he could be on his way out of Celtic Park.
I’ve always wanted to stay. I think everyone knows my situation and how I love this club and want to be here.
I love the fans and playing for Celtic. Games like this (Scottish Cup final) and playing in cup finals – there’s nothing better. Obviously, I was delighted. Obviously, I’m here for another year and I’m looking forward to it.
Sinclair signed a new contract extension earlier this season after the club activated a clause in his current deal.
The former Manchester City and Aston Villa was a favourite under Brendan Rodgers during his time in charge of the club but he has featured less frequently with Neil Lennon at the helm.
Starting just 24 league games this season, the English has scored nine goals in that period.
Despite that, Sinclair refused to consider a move away from the Scottish champions as they close in on yet another historic season.
Whoever is in the dugout next season, Sinclair will be hoping that he can play an important role in the squad once again.
