Celtic Football Club have released an update on their pursuit of Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull.
Recent reports had suggested that the promising youngster was all but set to join the Hoops, with a medical having been completed ahead of a £3 million move to the club.
However, via a statement on Twitter, Celtic have revealed that they have hit a stumbling block in their proposed plans to sign Turnbull, with the player’s agent pondering the club’s offer.

It is claimed that the parties have been ‘unable’ to reach an agreement over the transfer, and while a deal does not appear to be dead just yet, the Hoops look to have made their final offer.
Turnbull and his representative are now likely to mull over Celtic’s proposal, as Neil Lennon’s side await their transfer target’s response.
