Turnbull completes Celtic medical
Celtic are closing in on their first signing of the summer transfer window as midfielder David Turnbull has completed a medical with the club.
According to The Evening Times, Turnbull has completed a medical in Glasgow ahead of his move to the club from fellow Scottish side Motherwell.
The report claims that Celtic have already agreed a fee of £3m with Motherwell for Turnbull and he is now on the verge of signing for Neil Lennon’s side.
Turnbull enjoyed a sensational season with Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership as he found the back of the net 15 times in 30 games from midfield, catching Celtic’s eye.
Lennon has now moved swiftly to secure a deal for Turnbull and make him his first purchase since getting the job on a permanent basis – having taken over as an interim manager following Brendan Rodgers’ move to Leicester.
Turnbull is said to have cut his holiday short in order to push through a move to Celtic.
