Celtic have reportedly ended their interest in signing David Turnbull from Motherwell.

The Hoops had agreed a deal to recruit the promising midfielder this summer, but following a breakdown in negotiations with the player and his agent, the transfer was put on hold.

It seems no improvement has been made regarding talks, and as per claims from Sky Sports Scotland, Celtic have ‘dropped’ their interest in landing the Motherwell star.

Turnbull scored 16 goals for his side last season and emerged as an impressive young player in the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops had been working hard to seal a deal for the attacking midfielder but appear to have admitted defeat, with the youngster seemingly no longer set for a switch to Celtic Park.
