Celtic are thought to be one of five sides showing an interest in Bournemouth keeper Asmir Begovic.
According to the Daily Star, the Hoops, along with Watford, Stoke City, Fenerbahce and Olympiacos are all interested in signing the 32-year-old this summer.
Begovic has plied his professional trade in England for the last 14 years, representing a pletora of sides before making his name at Stoke in 2010.
The Bosnian spent five years with the Potters before joining Chelsea, where he would spend two seasons.
Begovic left Stamford Bridge for Bournemouth in 2017 and has gone on to make 62 appearances for the Cherries in the Premier League.
The experienced shot-stopper fell out of favour half way throught the previous campiagn and has been tipped to leave the Vitality Stadium this summer.
Neil Lennon’s side have emrged as surprise contenders to sign Begovic, with the report claiming the Hoops have been monitoring the player in the current window.
Celtic’s current number one, Scott Bain, impressed at Celtic Park last season, so speculation regarding a move for Begovic apepars to be strange.
Four areas Celtic must add to this summer
With Kieran Tierney wanted by Premier League giants Arsenal, Celtic will more than likely be in the market for replacements for the 22-year-old, who could leave this summer for £25m.
With Mikael Lustig leaving Scotland and Jeremy Toljan back with parent club Borussia Dortmund, the right-back role is an area which definitely needs bolstering ahead of the new season.
At the heart of the defence, Celtic have lost Dedryck Boyata to Hertha Berlin, while Filip Benkovic returned to Leicester after a season-long loan. Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic are the two senior options at centre-back at this moment in time, so the Hoops could do with adding to their ranks.
Odsonne Edouard enjoyed a solid season at Celtic Park, however, the Hoops could do with another natural goal scorer at the club to challenge the Frenchman.
