Celtic closing in on Boli Mbombo deal
Celtic are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Rapid Vienna left-back Boli Mbombo.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hoops, who look set to land central defender Christopher Jullien in the coming days, are also close to signing the highly-rated left-back.
The youngster is also attracting interest from Burnley, Napoli and Sampdoria, however, it appears that a move to Celtic Park is looking extremely likely.
Mbombo, who is cousins with Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku, is valued at £3 million and could be viewed as a perfect replacement for Kieran Tierney.
Boss Neil Lennon confirmed on Wednesday that the Gunners are in talks with Celtic over a possible summer transfer for the 22-year-old.
The Hoops value Tierney at £25m, however, the Premier League giants have only made an offer in the region of £15m.
If Tierney does make the move to the Emirates ahead of the new campaign, the Belgian would more than likely be the first-choice left-back under Lennon next season.
