Factfile: Who is Celtic signing Hatem Abd Elhamed?

Celtic announced their fourth signing of the summer on Wednesday as they confirmed the arrival of Hatem Abd Elhamed from Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

Elhamed has signed a four-year contract with the Hoops, but is unable to play for the club in their Champions League clash with Kalju FC on Wednesday night. 

Celtic are looking to progress through to the next round of the Champions League and host Kalju in the first leg, with new signing Boli Bolingoli starting for Neil Lennon’s side. 

Lennon’s other signings this summer, Luca Connell – from Bolton – and Christopher Jullien – from Toulouse, are not in the squad for the match.
