Celtic have been linked with a shock move for former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur forward Emmanuel Adebayor – but should the Hoops make a move?
According to the Daily Express, cited by the Scotsman, Celtic will face a battle with Premier League outfit West Ham in a bid to land the free agent, with the forward recently having his contract with former side Istanbul Basaksehir terminated by mutual consent.

Neil Lennon has already brought in four senior summer additions and looks set to bolster his squad further before the window shuts, with another striker likely to come in to challenge Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths.
A linked move for Adebayor certainly comes as a surprise, with the African forward edging towards the end of his playing career.
The 35-year-old would bring plenty of experience to Celtic Park, however, the Togo international would certainly demand a high wage, something Hoops officials may not be willing to offer the player.
Adebayor, who has also previously represented Monaco and Real Madrid during his career, may well find himself a yard off the pace in Scotland if he completed a move, and a deal would more than likely anger many Hoops supporters.
The club would be better off targeting a younger striker who has his career ahead of him rather than signing the experienced Adebayor, however, only time will tell whether or not the club are serious in bringing the former Premier League star to Celtic Park.
