Lennon expects another Arsenal bid for Tierney
Neil Lennon has revealed that Celtic are preparing for a second bid from Arsenal for defender Kieran Tierney.
The Hoops have been resolute in their stance that they wish to keep Tierney this summer, with the highly regarded left-back one of the key players at Paradise.
Arsenal have already lodged two bids in an attempt to bring the Scotland international to the Premier League, both of which were rejected by the reigning Scottish champions, with the second bid coming in at around £25million.
Celtic have refused to back down over their valuation over their star defender, although Lennon still expects Arsenal to come around again with another offer. Speaking ahead of the new season’s opening game against St Johnstone this weekend (via Goal), Lennon said:
Normally these things tend to happen again so it would not surprise me, put it that way.
Do you think Celtic will keep hold of Kieran Tierney this summer?
Yes
No
That’s not from personal knowledge of anything, that’s just my own experience of things.
We know the window shuts on Thursday, so if we are talking about Arsenal then they have five or six days to come back with a revised offer.
