Celtic travel to Romania to face CFR Cluj in the first-leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie on Wednesday, looking to secure a positive result away from home.
The Hoops have already seen off both FK Sarajevo and Nomme Kalju respectively in their bid to reach the Champions League group stage, and a good result against the reigning Romanian champions will go a long way to helping Neil Lennon’s side achieve their goal.
Slavia Prague await the winners in the Champions League-play-offs, and Celtic will be hoping to draw upon their experience of two years ago should they progress past Cluj, when they beat Astana 8-4 on aggregate to seal a place in the group stages.
Ahead of the first leg, we’ve spoken exclusively to Romanian football journalist Emanuel Rosu, who’s given us an insight into how Cluj are likely to play and what we can expect from the tie.
