It’s finally official. After a summer of speculation and two rejected bids for Kieran Tierney, Arsenal finally matched Celtic’s initial valuation of £25million for the left-back and completed a deal on the English transfer deadline day.
And while nearly everybody expected the move to be completed at some point, it still hasn’t softened the blow for many Hoops supporters who have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment.
While some have expressed their anger directly towards Tierney or the board, others have wished the full-back well and thanked him for his time at the club.

While KT’s move will certainly be difficult to digest so soon after being completed, I think any criticism directed his way is harsh.

He’s quite clearly got the ability to go a long way in the game, and a move to a club like Arsenal is only going to help him develop into the player all Hoops fans know he is and know he can be in the future.
Yes we’d all love it if he was a one-man club and stayed at Parkhead for the duration of his career, but he’s completed his move now, so all that is left to say is: Thank you KT, and all the best for your future at Arsenal.
