After reportedly having two bids for the 22-year-old rejected earlier in the window, Arsenal left it until the English deadline day to sign Tierney, leaving Celtic with little over three weeks to seek out a replacement.
Boli Bolingoli has already been signed to strengthen the left-back department, but given Tierney’s departure, it appears wise for Neil Lennon to consider delving into the market for another option.
Going forwards Bolingoli appears to be a strong player, but defensively thus far he has looked vulnerable, especially against CFR Cluj, and the Hoops will no doubt be eyeing a move for a more sound defensive option.
With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at five left-backs Celtic could look to sign with the funds raised from Tierney’s £25million deadline day move to Arsenal.
