Neil Lennon has been speaking to the media in the build up to Saturday’s clash against Motherwell, so what were the key talking points?

eLHAMED A DOUBT, MIKEY TO MISS OUT

The Celtic boss confirmed on Friday that Hatem Abd Elhamed is a doubt for the trip to Motherwell this weekend, while Mikey Johnston will miss out all together.

The 20-year-old was left out of the squad for Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with CFR Cluj in Romania, and Lennon revealed he will miss out once again on Saturday, but should be fit for the return leg against Cluj on Tuesday.

sinclair included in squad

The future of Scott Sinclair has been the subject of intense scrutiny recently amid reported interest from a number of English sides.

Lennon confirmed on Friday that there was interest in the 30-year-old, but the winger will be in the squad to face Motherwell this weekend after a move failed to come around.

Sinclair has made three substitute appearances so far this season.

saturday will be a ‘tough ask’

Following Wednesday’s trip to Romania, Lennon confirmed it will be ‘tough ask’ for Celtic to play again at midday on Saturday after an early arrival back in Glasgow on Thursday.

The Hoops boss expects Motherwell to be fired up for the tie at Fir Park, and believes it will be a challenging encounter.
