These Celtic fans call for Lennon’s head after shock Champions League exit
Furious Celtic fans are calling for Neil Lennon’s head following the club’s shock Champions League qualifying exit at home to CFR Cluj, losing 4-3 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate.
The Hoops were 2-1 ahead on the night with 15 minutes to go, but a hectic end to the match meant the match looked to be ending 3-3, with Celtic crashing out on away goals.
However, Cluj clutched a 97th-minute winner to pour salt in the wounds on what was another miserable European night for Lennon’s side.
Now Sheriff Tiraspol or AIK await in the Europa League play-off, where many will still be wondering how on earth the club find themselves in this situation.
Tonight’s loss has been the final straw for masses of Celtic fans though, with a clear message being sent:

Read Celtic’s verdict
Obviously, it’s very unlikely the Celtic board will even consider handing Lennon his P45 considering we’re not even a month into the new season, especially because of the blistering start to the Scottish Premiership.
Fans are very right to be furious tonight though. All is well and good dominating in Scotland, but a club of Celtic’s magnitude must be representing the country in Europe year-in-year-out.
How far will Celtic go in the Europa League?

Quarter-Finals onwards
The Hoops could now drop into the Europa League for a third-straight season, so the best they can hope for now is to make a good account of themselves in Europe’s secondary competition.
Could a reunion with a certain Kieran Tierney be on the cards?…
