Celtic reach the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup: Fan Reaction

Celtic reached the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup by beating second-tier side Dunfermline Athletic. The Hoops were dominant throughout the match, both in terms of possession and shots but they were made to work hard for the win.

Neil Lennon’s side had 36 shots on goal compared to Dunfermline’s three, but the scoreline was much more one-sided than one might expect between these two sides.

Michael Johnston opened the scoring for the Hoops in the 55th minute after a goalless first half. However, Dunfermline didn’t back down and found the equaliser in the 77th minute courtesy of 23-year-old midfielder Tom Beading.

The match went into extra-time and a 114th-minute goal from James Forrest won the match for Celtic.

The Hoops may have won the match but the fans were disappointed with their performance and many took to social media to vent out their frustration.
