“Brutal” – These Celtic supporters react to ticket prices for Glasgow derby

Celtic supporters will be forced to pay £52 to watch their side play Rangers in the opening Glasgow Derby of the season, and many fans are not happy with the record breaking price.

The club announced the details for the fixture on Twitter earlier on Monday, with the first derby clash of the campaign now less than two weeks away.

Prices have increased £3 from last season’s price of £49, meaning the 800 Celtic supporters who manage to get a ticket will have to pay over £50 for the first time – and many are not happy.

£52 is certainly a ridiculous fee to pay, regardless of the fact that it is the Glasgow Derby.

And while it will have no doubt been agreed by both clubs, such a high figure is definitely pricing supporters out of the game.
