Greg Taylor scouted but no discussions with Meling – Who seems the more likely signing?

Celtic reportedly sent scouts to watch Greg Taylor in action for Kilmarnock last weekend, but have made no progress over a move for Birger Meling, so who looks to be the more likely signing as the Hoops’ search for a Kieran Tierney replacement?

According to the Daily Record, Celtic are still interested in the Rosenborg defender but have made no contact over a move, and also sent scouts to watch Taylor in Killie’s 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical.

So where does this leave the pair and Celtic? And who appears the more likely signing?

Going off what has been reported, a move for Taylor may appear slightly more likely at this stage, and it certainly looks the easier signing to make given Rosenborg’s desire to keep hold of Meling for their Champions League play-off.

And Celtic look as though they are keeping their options open after sending scouts to watch Taylor last weekend.

However, the report also suggests Meling “dodged” any questions about his future following Rosenborg’s 1-1 draw with Odd on Saturday, so perhaps a potential deal is being kept quiet.

Annoyingly, at this stage of the window, Celtic supporters are still in the dark as to who will be the man brought in to compete with Boli Bolingoli for the left-back spot.
