Celtic are reportedly set to make a move for Greg Taylor this weekend as the step-up their pursuit of a Kieran Tierney replacement, and did Kilmarnock boss Angelo Alessio hint at this on Thursday?
According to The Express via the Daily Record, Celtic are said to be ready to make a bid of £1million for Taylor and will be willing to loan players to Killie as part of the deal.
So did Alessio drop a slight hint that Taylor could potentially leave the club amid interest from Celtic?

According to Football Scotland, Alessio claimed that Killie’s signing of left-back Niko Hamalainen does not mean that Taylor will be sold as he intends to have two players capable of playing in every position.
We want to keep our best players and for this reason the situation with Celtic and Greg are just rumours. There are 10 or 11 days left of the market but we know our situation with Greg Taylor. It’s only rumours. I don’t know (what it will take for us to sell him) but I’ve spoken a lot of times about this situation with the board and Billy Bowie.
And while his comments certainly appear to suggest that he would like to keep Taylor at the club this summer, the Killie boss did admit to having conversations with the board about the left-back’s future.
Therefore, the fact that Alessio has admitted to speaking with the club about Taylor’s future, and a potential asking price, does suggest that they expected Celtic to come in with an offer in the near future.
