Many Celtic supporters have been left confused and angry after reports suggesting the Hoops are not willing to meet Kilmarnock’s valuation of Greg Taylor.
The Daily Record report that Celtic will snub Killer’s £3million asking price and are now turning their attention elsewhere to Rosenborg’s Birger Meling.
And while Meling would certainly be a signing that would excite many a Celtic supporter, these fans are not happy with the club’s refusal to meet a relatively acceptable asking price for Taylor.

Others, however, believe Celtic are well within their rights to reject Killie’s £3million asking price after they asked for a fee of £1million for Taylor when German outfit FC Nurnberg.

While the point about Kilmarnock setting an asking price of £1million for Nurnberg is a very valid one, they were never going to allow Celtic the chance to sign him for the same fee.
Even if Kieran Tierney hadn’t of moved to Arsenal for £25million, Killie would have upped their asking price for Taylor amid interest from Celtic, and demanding £3million following KT’s move is completely understandable.
That being said, £3million is still a relatively low fee for a good player in Taylor, and the Hoops need to act quickly to resolve the left-back situation before the trip to Ibrox this weekend.
