James Forrest was a key figure for Celtic once again on the pitch in Thursday’s crucial Europa League play-off victory, but it’s matters off the pitch that have got supporters praising him here.
After Forrest scored the opening goal of Thursday’s tie with AIK, one supporter posted a message on social media about a time when the winger stopped to take a picture with her and her son, before handing the youngster a pair of his boots.
And his act of kindness was obviously received well by the person who posted the message, as well as these supporters who were quick to praise the Celtic star.

Not only is Forrest one of Celtic’s most important figures on the pitch, he is clearly a genuine person and an excellent role model off it as well.
Gestures like this go a long way and mean the world to supporters, especially in the modern era. Classy from Forrest, this.
