Sutton believes Rangers have edge over Celtic – Fan Reactions

Former Celtic forward Chris Sutton believes that Rangers have the edge going into Sunday’s Glasgow Derby at Ibrox.

Both Celtic and Rangers still have their 100 per cent win record in the Scottish Premiership going into this weekend’s game, but Sutton believes that issues plaguing the Hoops will give the Gers the upper hand.

Speaking pitch side at Tannadice Park for the Dundee Derby on Friday, Sutton revealed to BT Sport that Steven Gerrard’s men could have the edge on Sunday. Sutton said:

I think that I would give Rangers the edge, and I’d give Rangers the edge based on Celtic’s issues they have with the back-line.

I think Celtic have problems, and I think the blame lies with the board.

Celtic are taking a risk because they should have brought more players in.

When you think of Celtic’s key men, the likes of [Odsonne] Edouard and James Forrest, an injury to them and it’s absolutely catastrophic.

They’ve got big issues Celtic, and they certainly need addressing.

If Rangers come onto them, as we’re expecting Rangers to start on the front foot, Celtic do have that pace to really exploit them.

It could be anything, but as things start I fancy Rangers to edge it.
