Why two new Bhoys should start against Hamilton

Celtic return to league action next weekend following the international break, and Neil Lennon should look to start two of his new Bhoys against Hamilton.

Both Mohamed Elyounoussi and Moritz Bauer completed loan deals prior to deadline day and will no doubt be keen to impress for Celtic following uninspiring spells at Southampton and Stoke City respectively.

And a start against the Accies could provide the duo with a fine chance to do just that early on in their Hoops careers.

With Kristoffer Ajer returning from injury and Mikey Johnston withdrawing from Scotland’s Under-21 squad with a knock, Lennon has the ideal chance to start his new Bhoys and rest the likes of Ajer and Mikey.

Both will need the game time after struggling for first team football at their respective previous clubs, especially ahead of what will be another crucial set of fixtures for Celtic.

The Europa League group stages get underway following the international break, while the Hoops also have a Scottish League Cup quarter final against Partick Thistle on the horizon.  

Starting both Elyounoussi and Bauer therefore could be essential for Lennon, to not only bring them up to speed but to also ensure other members of the squad are rested and fully fit ahead of another important run.
