READ CELTIC VERDICT
James Forrest has already played 67 competitive games for Celtic since the start of the 2018/19 campaign, along with several caps for Scotland, and the fatigue is starting to show.
He is not affecting games as regularly as he was last season, with the winger, perhaps, in need of a rest to re-energise and get back to his best for both club and country.
Forrest looked leggy against Russia, failing to have any impact on the game and struggling both going forward and defensively. If he is given a week or two off to rest and recover, he should be fresh enough to inject more pace into his game again.
