Efe Ambrose has revealed he is keen on a surprise return to Scottish football, so should Celtic look to re-sign him?
According to the Edinburgh Evening News, via the Daily Record, Ambrose would not rule out a return to Scotland after being released by Derby County in the summer.
I would never say never about the possibility of coming back to Scottish football. It is a great place to play football and I feel the Scottish league is growing and getting better. The standing and reputation of the league is growing and there is a real profile to it with the likes of Neil Lennon and Steven Gerrard now at Celtic and Rangers.
I have had some great times in Scotland. My times there, with Celtic and Hibs, were amongst the best of my career and if there was interest there then it is something I would definitely consider.
So would a move for Ambrose be a good deal for Celtic?

Though he is currently a free agent and a move therefore would not cost Celtic anything with regards to a fee, there may be better options available for the Hoops.
The former Parkhead man made 169 appearances for Celtic in all competitions but struggled to make an impact at Derby last season, with the defender failing to make a single appearance in his short spell the Rams.
And at 30-years-old, it is unlikely he would feature regularly at Parkhead should he make a return, and a move therefore may not be the best option for Celtic.
