Celtic’s backroom staff are reportedly excited about new signing Mohamed Elyounoussi after watching him in training over the past two weeks.

According to Football Insider, Neil Lennon and his staff are expecting Elyounoussi to “terrorise” defenders and make a big impact this season.

Elyounoussi joined the club on a season-long loan from Premier League side Southampton in the summer transfer window.

Celtic travel away to face Hamilton in the early kick-off and Lennon could decide to hand Elyounoussi his debut.

Michael Johnson started against Rangers but struggled to have an effect on the game, although he certainly worked hard for the cause and could have more joy against inferior opposition.

Should Elyounoussi start on Saturday?

But it could be the perfect chance to start Elyounoussi and give him the opportunity to show what he can do in a Celtic shirt and put his struggles in England behind him.

If the coaching staff are so confident in his ability, he should be fine to come in and prove his worth against Hamilton.
