Jack Aitchison produced a Man of the Match display for Forest Green Rovers last weekend, in a 1-0 win over Colchester, as his loan spell with the League Two side continues to benefit him.

According to the Daily Record, Aitchison followed up his debut goal for Forest Green against Cambridge United with a MOTM display in Saturday’s win, as Rovers continued their fine start to the season.

So why is Aitchison’s loan move already benefitting him?

READ CELTIC VERDICT

Aitchison has hit the ground running at Forest Green, and that has come as no surprise to Celtic supporters.

The Hoops’ youngest ever goalscorer found the back of the net with an impressive strike on his debut for Rovers, and flourished in a new role last weekend.

Do you think Aitchison will be in the first-team next season?

Yes

No

Rovers boss Mark Cooper deployed Aitchison in the number 10 role, playing just behind the striker, and his MOTM display emphasises how this experience is proving crucial for the 19-year-old.

Not only is he playing for an exciting side challenging for promotion and has already found the back of the net, Cooper also appears to believe in his abilities and is challenging him to learn a new role; something that will only bolster his opportunities of breaking into the first-team at Celtic.
