Defender Christopher Jullien has admitted that playing in the English Premier League is a “dream”, however, he is currently very happy at Celtic.

The towering centre-back signed a four-year contract with the Hoops during the summer transfer window after completing a £7m move from French side Toulouse.

The defender has settled in well at the club and has established his presence in the team in recent weeks, holding down a starting spot.

When speaking about his move to France Football, Jullien said:

Do I have regrets? No, not at all. I’d gone around the block there. Celtic was the logical choice, and the right one for now. After Toulouse, it was the next step, with the goal of growing, especially by playing in Europe.

They made me visit the infrastructures and the club. That made the difference. It’s a big institution. The desire is to perform. There will be people in the crowd, which is logical for great clubs.

I want to settle and do well. Yes, the Premier League in England has always been an objective, a dream, of course, but today, I took a path that will allow me to grow regardless of what happens. We don’t know what the future will be made of.

Should Celtic already be worried about losing Jullien?

From Jullien’s comments, it seems as if he has it in his mind already that one day, he will leave the club to move to the Premier League.

The fact that he does not have any regrets about making the move to Glasgow shows that he’s enjoying his time so far at the club and is eager to succeed.

Do you think Jullien will be playing in the Premier League before 2022?

Yes

No

Jullien is still developing and making a name for himself and if he continues performing at a high level, then it is only natural that Premier League sides will be interested in signing him.

For the time being, Neil Lennon needs to keep Jullien grounded and ensure that he keeps working hard for the Hoops in a season where there is plenty of expectations on the team.
