Lennon not feeling the pressure this season – He’s right not to

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that there is a lot less pressure on him this season than last season, as reported on the Evening Times.

The Hoops won the domestic treble for the third time in succession last season.

Lennon finished last season as the club’s caretaker manager, which meant that there was more pressure on him to get positive results. He said:

There is always pressure in this role when in a cup competition but I don’t feel the weight of pressure this time which I might have done three or four months ago.

It’s lovely. I can breathe a little bit better.

It’s no coincidence that Lennon isn’t feeling the pressure to succeed this season. This is a direct result of his side’s blistering start to the term in all competitions.

The Hoops have won all their league matches and also picked up a valuable away point in the opening match of the UEFA Europa League group stages against French Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Celtic ended the season in uncertain fashion last term, with the performances not being as dominant as they are now and that could be because Lennon was still unsure about is future at the club.

Now that he is permanently in charge, he can relax more and do what he does best – lead the team to more victories.
