Fans reacts as Simunovic is ruled out for up to four months

Jozo Simunovic has been ruled out for the next three to four months by Neil Lennon, and many Celtic fans have had their say on the defender’s absence.

The defender faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing a knee operation earlier this month, and could well be out of action until the New Year.

And following the news, these Celtic fans have offered their thoughts. Some appear to be rather concerned, with one supporter in particular suggesting it may be time to move Simunovic on.

One supporter, however, offers a slightly more positive verdict and believes Simunovic will be back in time to help Celtic on their quest for Europa League glory.

READ CELTIC VERDICT

Simunovic’s absence is clearly a blow for the defender and it could become a problem for Celtic, should another of their defensive options pick up a problem.

The Hoops currently have great strength in depth at the back, and while Simunovic facing up to four months on the sidelines is less than ideal, Neil Lennon will be calm and have faith in his other options. 

Hatem Abd Elhamed’s versatility will no doubt prove crucial, as too will Jeremie Frimpong following his excellent debut in midweek.
