Celtic’s winning run in the Scottish Premiership came to an end with Hibernian holding the Hoops to a 1-1 draw at Easter Road.

An own goal from Kristoffer Ajer opened the scoring for Hibs before Ryan Christie drew Celtic level. The latter took his season’s goal tally to 10 with the equaliser.

Celtic were very dominant as far as shots on goal were concerned. They had 20 attempts while Hibernian had only three. Hoops manager Neil Lennon was cut a frustrated figure after referee Kevin Clancy refused to award his team a penalty on two occasions.

In the end, both teams shared the spoils. Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premiership table, four points ahead of Rangers while Hibs are in tenth position.

The Hoops’ next league match is against Livingston next Sunday, but before that they play CFR Cluj in the Europa League on Wednesday.

Following the match, many Celtic fans were left frustrated at referee Clancy for not awarding the penalty claims.
