Celtic fans react as Partick Thistle copy Edouard chant

Many Celtic supporters have reacted to Partick Thistle’s attempt at recreating the famous ‘I wanna be Edouard’ chant for their manager Ian McCall.

Following on from an impressive 3-1 victory away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday, Partick posted a Tweet from their official account, with the caption: ‘I wanna, I wanna, I wanna be McCall.’

These Celtic supporters have understandably reacted to the Tweet, with many calling for the Tweet to be deleted after the attempt to copy Celtic’s chant.

Partick’s attempt at copying Eddy’s chant is certainly a poor one, especially considering how it doesn’t even work with the original song.

One of the main reason’s why the song for Eddy works so well is how similar it is too The Stone Roses’ classic ‘I Wanna Be adored.’

Unfortunately for Thistle, McCall doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
