Celtic travel through east to face Livingston on Sunday afternoon, as they look to go into the international break, top of the table.
The Champions will be looking to get back to winning ways, after a disappointing draw against Hibernian last weekend.
Their perfect start to the league season came to an end as they salvaged a point in Edinburgh, thanks to a Ryan Christie header that cancelled out Kris Ajer’s early own goal.
Sunday’ opponents had their own disappointing result last weekend. They took the lead away against Hamilton, but failed to see it out and were eventually defeated 2-1.
That’s been the story of Livi’s season so far, they’ve been continously dangerous going forward, finding the net 10 times in the process, but have struggled to keep them out, conceding 11 goals already.
It’s set to be an interesting contest on Sunday, as Livingston have caused Celtic problems in recent years, especially on their own plastic pitch.
Whoever comes out on top and heads into the international break happier, will need to win the crucial key battles that are sure to take place come Sunday.
STEVEN LAWLESS AND GREG TAYLOR
Livi’s in-form man has been a standout performer for Gary Holt’s side this season and has shown no sign of slowing down.
His technique and delivery of a ball has improved greatly since his Partick Thistle days and has caused problems for most defences he’s faced.
It’s been a long time coming, but Sunday night be the perfect game for Taylor to make his debut.
Boli Bolingoli was superb midweek against Cluj, but perhaps deserves a break and with recent injury scares, a plastic pitch may not be best for him right now.
MARVIN BARTLEY AND SCOTT BROWN
The former Hibs man looks to have been a steal for the West Lothian side this season.
His presence and experience has been vital in controlling and commanding Livi’s midfield.
Brown had a stellar performance against Cluj and will be looking to go into his well deserved break on a high.
This is set to be a great midfield battle, with two powerhouses facing each other.
JAMES FORREST AND ALAN LITHGOW
Forrest just can’t stop being in and around the action in a Celtic shirt.
His pace, ability and skill has been causing every defender he’s faced headaches and unless Lithgow has some magical idea, he’ll be no different.
His defence ability has been questionable this season, but his own attacking has been enviable, with two goals in five games from full-back.
It’ll be a battle of pace down the flank and one that could prove crucial.
RYAN CHRISTIEAND JON GUTHRIE
Christie will be looking to go into the international break on a high and ensure he starts both games for Scotland, unlike last time, bizarrely.
Guthrie has struggled to fill the boots of Craig Halkett, who left for Hearts in the summer, and will be against his toughest opponents yet.
Christie’s ability to drift in from number 10, ti almost a false 9 is exemplary and something the Englishman will need to be wary of.
