Neil Lennon has reportedly been thoroughly impressed by new Bhoy Jonathan Afolabi following his summer move from Southampton, and that is a big positive for Celtic.
According to Football Insider, a source close to the club has revealed that Afolabi has ‘blown’ Lennon and his coaching staff away following his displays in training and while playing for the Reserves.
The report also suggests that Lennon is considering “unleashing” Afolabi in the first-team prior to the November international break, with the Celtic boss believing he can offer the Hoops a “different dimension.”

News of Afolabi impressing Lennon will give Celtic a further boost, as their attacking options keep going from strength to strength.
Not only does the Hoops boss have a wealth of players to chose from in his senior squad, he also now has the likes of Afolabi, Armstrong Okoflex and Karamoko Dembele all waiting in the wings in the Reserves.
Afolabi has scored three goals in two appearances for Celtic’s Reserves, including one while Lennon was watching on from the sidelines at Lennoxtown, and would no doubt be eager to break into the first-team following his move.
