Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has urged Manchester United to make a move for Odsonne Edouard before the likes of Aston Villa or Brighton complete a surprise deal, and United would certainly have the firepower to complete the transfer.
Speaking prior to Celtic’s clash with Livingston, Boyd believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should sign Eddy before a team of the stature of Villa takes a punt on him and increases his value, according to The Boot Room.
If I was Manchester United, I would come in and give the £25-30 million in the summer. I wouldn’t be surprised if a Brighton or an Aston Villa come in and pay the £30 million for Odsonne Edouard and then he goes again.

While a move to the likes of Villa or Brighton would appear unlikely given how they do not compete for trophies domestically and are not in Europe, a potential deal with United could be a possibility.
Eddy’s future has already been the subject of intense scrutiny this season, and if the likes of United did come in with a bid in the region of £30million, it would be hard to see anyway Celtic would turn it down.
And despite their current poor run of form, a move to United given their global stature could be too hard to turn down for the striker.
