Fans react as Tony Watt jumps to Ryan Christie’s defence

Many Celtic supporters have offered mixed reactions to Tony Watt’s defence of Ryan Christie following the midfielder’s red card on Sunday.

Watt suggested that some fans were “spoilt” and should think twice before criticising players, especially given how important Christie has been for Celtic this season.

Watt certainly makes a good point, as Christie has been a hugely important figure for Celtic this season.

While his challenge on Sunday was unacceptable and deserved a red card, Christie will have recognised that straight away and does not need to have received such criticism online.
