Celtic fans have responded to Robbie Savage’s attempts to mock the Hoops and former Parkhead striker Chris Sutton following last weekend’s defeat to Livingston.

The BT Sport pundit Tweeted his colleague Sutton asking him to send in a photo of the Scottish Premiership table after Celtic’s 2-0 defeat at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

And following the post, these Hoops fans reacted by stating that Savage was not bothered about the table while Celtic were top and that the league is not won at this stage in the season.

While it is probably just a bit of banter between Savage and Sutton, the former mustn’t get too carried away at this stage in the season.

Celtic have dropped points but have also beaten Rangers at Ibrox already, and Steven Gerrard’s side are hugely unlikely to win all of their league games from now until the end of the campaign.

So why he may well want to see what the table currently looks like, Savage will be well aware that what really counts is how it looks at the end of the season, when Celtic will be aiming for number nine in a row.
