He made his senior debut for the Hoops last season and will be looking for a few more outings for Neil Lennon’s men this term.

The 16-year-old has been named on the list alongside Barcelona ace Ansu Fati, who has made it into the senior squad alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez this season.

Should the Hoops be excited?

Being named as a future game-changer has positive and negative effects. It’s a positive that the Hoops have one of the best young talents in Europe in their Academy and that is something to be proud of.

It also shows that Dembele’s progression is currently going well because he has been in the spotlight from a very young age.

As a negative, the top European clubs will now be even more hungry to secure Dembele. The fact that a well-respected outlet like L’Equipe have rated him so highly means that clubs are going to come calling for him.

Do you think Dembele is the best teenage footballer in Europe?
