Celtic winger James Forrest has admitted that the Hoops can’t afford any more slip-ups because Rangers are “stronger” this season.
Steven Gerrard’s men currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership table after Celtic fell to a shock defeat against Livingston before the international break.

The Hoops take on Ross County this weekend and Forrest knows the importance of bouncing back with a win. As quoted on the Scotsman, he said:
We had a bad performance and a bad result just before the international break, but have a lot of big games coming up now and our squad will be used to the full. We’re all going to push on now.
It’s a bit strange not being at the top of the table because it’s around ten months since that was last the case but it keeps us on our toes because we know that if we slip up then Rangers are winning regularly so it’s vital that we take the three points off Ross County on Saturday.
We have to get back to winning ways. However, we can’t take anything for granted. It’s always tight going into the second half of the season and Rangers are stronger than they were a year ago. Hopefully, that’s our bad performance and result behind us.
Is Forrest right?

Forrest has a good point about Rangers being a stronger team this season. Gerrard has assembled a decent squad and their forward players are firing in terms of goals.
In recent years, the Hoops had the luxury of being able to have a one-off bad result without really being punished for it because they were always so far ahead. However, that is a luxury which they won’t have anymore.
It’s vital for Neil Lennon’s men to not look too far ahead. Take it game by game and hope for someone to nullify Rangers.
