Some Celtic supporters have disagreed with Chris Sutton’s suggestion that Champions League qualification is a necessity alongside winning nine and 10 in a row.
The former Celtic striker claimed that new Bhoy Nick Hammond has a big responsibility at the club after becoming the new head of football operations with the Hoops having expectations on maintaining their title-winning run.
And following his Tweet about the appointment, these Celtic fans disagreed with his suggestion that Champions League qualification is essential.

As Sutton eludes to, Hammond will certainly be under pressure to ensure the right calibre of player is signed in order to help with the push for nine and 10 in a row.
Champions League qualification is a tricky one to gauge, however. Clearly those fans do not place a huge importance on qualification, but there are certainly plenty of positives from qualifying for the competition.
Not only would the Hoops benefit financially from it, but it would also offer an incentive to keep the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer at the club for longer; with the pair both linked with respective moves away.
Furthermore, playing in the Champions League would be a huge boost for Celtic when purchasing players given the incentive of playing in the competition for transfer targets.
