Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson believes Odsonne Edouard has the ability to become a better player than Moussa Dembele, and this is promising for Celtic.
According to the Daily Record, Ferguson heaped praise on Eddy following his excellent start to the season for club and country and suggested he can reach a higher level than Dembele.
Yeah, he’s a player that could potentially be better than Dembele. I have said that a number of times. I’ve always been impressed. When he is on his game I think he is unstoppable at times.
He obviously continues it when he goes away with the French U-21 squad and if he keeps producing performances like that he will be in the first-team squad.

Eddy has been on fire this season, with 18 goals already for club and country.
A hat-trick for France’s Under-21’s earlier this week took his tally to an incredible nine goals in his first four games for his country at that level.
Comparisons with Dembele are only natural given how Eddy took the reins from the £20million Lyon man following his departure.
And if the current Celtic star can continue his impressive development, there is no reason why he cannot reach a higher level than the £60million rated Dembele.
That only bodes well for Celtic, as not only are they likely to receive a higher fee for Eddy but also profit from a potential sell-on clause; as they are set to do with Dembele.
