Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has urged Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard to be patient before sealing a move to a top Premier League club.
Boyd has advised the French striker to snub interest from the likes of Brighton and Southampton in favour of waiting for one of the giant clubs like Arsenal or Manchester United to make a move for him.

Edouard netted for the Hoops once again in the 6-0 thrashing of Ross County on Saturday. As quoted on the Daily Star, Boyd said:
For what it’s worth, if it’s the Premier League he heads for, it should be for one of the giants, Manchester United or Arsenal, and not, with respect, to a Brighton or Southampton.
But I’ve got a funny feeling he’ll have to go and prove himself first at one of those clubs.
Should Edouard wait before sealing a big move?

Boyd has a valid point. Edouard can continue to put in impressive displays and goalscoring figures for the Hoops and then the interest from Europe’s elite clubs will automatically come.
Moving to a mid-table Premier League side wouldn’t really help the striker to progress because he would be giving up European football.
There has already been interest in Edouard from United and various other top teams, so all he needs to do now is stay calm and not rush into anything. Focus on the task at hand with Celtic and then see what the future holds.
