Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson has opened up regarding his loan move to Ross County.
Henderson is one of Celtic’s brightest young talents, so it came as a bit of a surprise to some fans when he left on a season-long loan deal.
However, the 19-year-old is thriving after the move and is thoroughly enjoying himself. As quoted on the Daily Record, Henderson said:
For the good of my career, I needed to play games. County offered me the best chance to do that and it has gone great so far. The managers at County have been amazing for me, so positive.
They’ve helped me on and off the pitch and been superb. The team spirit is unbelievable at County. Celtic will be watching me all the time. I’m just working hard to do as well as possible.

It seems like he did. He’s getting the first-team action that he desired and is also gaining valuable senior top-flight experience.
Neil Lennon clearly rates the teenager highly and to see him doing so well for County will only make him value the player more.
The next step for Henderson is to start challenging for a place in the squad at Celtic, which he will be hoping to do next season. He certainly possesses the traits to slot into Celtic’s midfield and if he continues to impress during this loan spell, his dream may just come true sooner than expected.
